About the Event
What does God want from me? Do I have what it takes to be a disciple of Jesus Christ? What does being a “disciple” really mean?
For 2,000 years, Christians have admired the inner group of disciples that Jesus called to follow Him. These 12 disciples would become the Apostles of the Church. Some, no doubt were quiet and reflective, others assertive and loud. The political views of Matthew, the tax collector, would have been in direct opposition to the opinions of Simon, the Zealot. Some of their conversations were unbearably strong and explosive. Although we may never definitively answer why Jesus called them, we can see the results of 12 very different men working together to proclaim the Gospel throughout the world.
