On April 29, join us at 11:30 for companionship with old and new friends. Then enjoy lunch at 12:00, followed by a movie, with soda, popcorn, and candy. All are welcome. And please feel free to invite your family, neighbors, and friends. All this for $10.00 can be paid online or on the day of the event. Registration can be made online, or a signup sheet is available at the Welcome Desk.
The movie this month is “Where Hope Grows”. Calvin Campbell is a former baseball player, whose professional career was cut short due to personal problems. One day when Calvin goes shopping for alcohol at the local grocery store, he meets a clerk there called “Produce”, with Down Syndrome. Calvin and “Produce” develop an unexpected friendship that restores Calvin’s faith and hope.
