Worship Pastor

South Sub Church is prayerfully discerning God’s call of a man or woman to serve as the part-time director of contemporary worship ministries. The successful candidate will plan, organize, and lead contemporary worship experiences in coordination with the Traditional Worship Director at South Sub Church.

Childcare Provider

Job Description:
South Sub Church seeks a Childcare Provider to serve infants, toddlers, and children during Sunday morning, Wednesday evening, and other church activities. The Childcare Provider must have an understanding and appreciation of children, as well as respect for the essential Beliefs and Practices of South Sub Church, as listed on the church website.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide a welcoming, clean, safe, and creative environment for children and their parents/guardians.

  • Serve cooperatively with a team of childcare providers, in concert with church volunteers, as led by the Kid’s Minister.

  • Provide childcare in support of Sunday morning worship services, Wednesday evening children’s programs, church meetings, and other services and events, provided on an as-needed and as-available basis.

  • Support children by teaching and modeling lessons, and by solving problems as they arise.

  • Set up and breakdown the childcare areas each week.

  • Assist with child check-in and check-out procedures.

  • Prepare snacks for the children.

  • Help with diapering and toileting, depending on family wishes.

  • Clean childcare areas each week and take responsibility for cleanliness of toys.

  • Identify supplies requiring replenishment.

  • Report any challenges to the Kid’s Minister immediately.

  • Conform to all applicable church policies, including any mandated COVID protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Certified in Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED

  • Associates Degree/Certificate in Childcare, or two or more years of experience in childcare

  • Pass a background check

  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination

Lighting Director

Job Description:

South Sub Church seeks a Lighting Director to serve South Sub Worship during Sunday morning services and other church events. The Lighting Director must have an understanding and appreciation of production lighting, as well as respect for the essential Beliefs and Practices of South Sub Church, as listed on our website.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in recruiting and training volunteers on lighting design and lighting board

  • Train on Ion Xe 20 board and software

  • Knowledge of various lighting fixtures (Conventional, LED, Intelligent/Moving) and stay current on lighting designs and trends

  • Assist other ministries with lighting/technical needs

  • Provide lighting expertise for future purchases, installations, and outside events

  • Attend pre-planned meetings and rehearsals

  • Operate or manage lighting volunteers for rehearsals, services, and special events

  • Assist with planning and installation of lighting and structured cabling

  • Provide routine maintenance for all lighting equipment, changing bulbs, and servicing equipment

  • Responsible for lighting inventory and lighting maintenance plan

  • Assist with set design and construction of stage sets

  • Responsible for programing lighting for all services and special events

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Lighting for a Live/Worship/Broadcast environment preferred

  • Experience in A/V/L equipment setup, installation, and operation
    Familiarity with sACN, DMX, Paradigm, and other platforms and protocols utilized in lighting

  • Basic understanding of rigging and safety fundamentals

  • Pass a background check

 

Livestream Director

Job Description:

South Sub Church seeks a Livestream Director to serve South Sub church during Sunday morning services and other church events. The Livestream Director must have an understanding and appreciation of broadcast production, as well as respect for the essential Beliefs and Practices of South Sub Church, as listed on our website.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of livestream needs for worship services including livestream and video presentation, both live and recorded, of Sunday morning services.

  • Assist in recruiting and training volunteers on broadcast positions such as camera operators, livestream sound, ProPresenter, and switcher boards

  • Be familiar with Resi Prism, Ross Video, Canon, and Panasonic PTZ cameras

  • Assist other ministries with livestream/technical needs

  • Provide broadcast expertise for future purchases, installations, and outside events

  • Attend pre-planned meetings and rehearsals

  • Operate or manage video volunteers for rehearsals, services, and special events

  • Provide routine maintenance for all video equipment

  • Responsible for video inventory and video maintenance plan

  • Assist with set design and construction of stage sets

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in video production for a Live/Worship/Broadcast environment preferred

  • Understanding video storytelling and seeking to direct a live broadcast the exemplifies excellence

  • Pass a background check

 

Audio Engineer

Job Description:

South Sub Church seeks an Audio Engineer to serve South Sub Worship during Sunday morning services and other church events. The Audio Engineer must have an understanding and appreciation of church sound, as well as respect for the essential Beliefs and Practices of South Sub Church, as listed on our website.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead all technical aspects related to sound reproduction for in-person, livestreaming, and recoded services and events.

  • Mix sound during our Sunday worship services, special events (Easter, Christmas, etc.) 

  • Mix sound during technical rehearsals with the worship and media team. 

  • Perform sound checks to troubleshoot any equipment or audio issues prior to worship and 

  • Perform post-production sound edits for recordings (video and audio) when needed. 

  • Ensure optimal sound on recorded footage. 

  • Provide leadership and training to volunteers Audio Team in operating sound equipment and effective mixing 

  • Work with the worship team, directors, and pastors to ensure high-quality presentation of music, spoken word, and other audio sources

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in mixing for a Live/Worship/Broadcast environment preferred

  • Experience in A/V/L equipment setup, installation, operation, and troubleshooting
    Familiarity with Alan and Heath Avantis and SQ7, Dante, and Shure IEMs

  • Basic understanding of rigging and safety fundamentals

  • Pass a background check
